| If you want to study the Chinese university campus space design, we must first understand the university education system and the spiritual culture of university.A considerable part of universities have drawbacks in education system,the university cultural awareness is weak. Dating back to traditional Chinese institution of higher education-academy, we will find that its educational philosophy and spiritual culture is advocated in today’s society.In this paper, I study the present situation of university and the classical campus, and try to put forward some ideas for the design of campus space under the influence of academy culture.In this paper, A lot of literature is studied about the construction of Chinese university and academy culture. I select representative research objects to conduct field research. The thesis is divided into five chapters: The first chapter introduces the background, purpose,meaning of the research, and summarizes the theory of Chinese academy and university research. The second chapter describes overview of Chinese university campuses, including the construction and education profiles, and made the return of the significance of traditional academy culture. The third chapter describes the academy culture. The classical education model is studied, in addition, the architectural culture is mainly elaborated on the influence of the academy spiritual culture. The fourth chapter explores the cultural roots of the academy as a scholar architecture- Intelligentsia culture.In addition, the relationship is summarized between space of academy and theories of poems and paintings in Intelligentsia culture. And then, academy’s theories of poems and paintings are elaborated. Based on the above analysis,Chapter Five proposed space design principles of university campuses, including functional principles and aesthetic principles. Taking Wang Shu’s Xiang Shan Campus as example, the chapter explores the ideas of space design in university campuses under the influence of classical academy.The last section of conclusion presents the flexible use of classical academy culture in the university campus space. The scope of the study which is "part of the university and university’s part" is further elaborated. Also, the chapter re-emphasized the innovative use of traditional academy culture.In this paper, "culture determines architecture, building also has a covert counter-culture" is the starting point. Classical academy education is worthwhile to learn from today’s university. Today, part of the university campus building space is lack of spiritual connotation,a considerable part of the reason is precisely because of the lack of humanity in educational philosophy.Education and building have mutual influence, So in terms of university campuses, they can learn the essence of academy education, but also draw space connotation of academy. I attempt to explore some design ideas for which can increase cultural connotation of university campus space from the aspect of architecture. This is the topic of this article conception lies. |
