Fiber reinforced cement composite to solve the shortcomings of high strength and high performance concrete to a certain extent: tension and compression ratio is low, poor toughness, high shrinkage and low durability, it can adapt to the existing level of construction and equipment condition. In recent years, the study of steel fiber concrete and synthetic fiber reinforced concrete have achieved good results, the majority of fiber reinforced cement composite composites have strain hardening and multiple cracking characteristics. Because of the high cost of synthetic fiber and steel fiber, in the green environmental protection today, research and application of the relatively low price and high yield of natural plant fiber obtained the widespread attention from all walks of life.In this paper, the four kinds of natural fibers(bamboo fiber, ramie fiber, sisal fiber, hemp fiber) cement composite conducted uniaxial tensile test, three point bending, four point bending, flexural and compressive strength test, capillary water absorption test and chloride ion erosion test. Study on flexural capacity, deformation capacity, flexural strength, compressive strength, toughness, anti permeability and anti chloride ion erosion performance. The main results are as follows:(1) Natural fiber reinforced cement composite have obvious strain hardening and multiple cracking characteristics, significantly improved flexural capacity, toughness, deformation capacity, flexural strength of the material and the compressive strength in a certain extent.(2) Ramie fiber reinforced cement composite than other kinds of fiber materials has the better mechanical properties and durability. In a certain degree, natural fiber reinforced cement composite can replace synthetic fiber and steel fiber reinforced cement composite, and give play to its good performance.(3) The results of water absorption test and chloride ion erosion test show: similar to the PVA fiber, natural fiber incorporation also reduced the anti permeability of matrix material, increased the content of chlorine ion.
