The Design And Dynamic Driving Characteristics Study Of Engine Front End Accessory Drive System

Engine front end accessory drive system is a part of the engine system. It transmits power for accessory pulley through the V-ribbed belt when the engine runs. With the development of the engine, the engine front end accessory system becomes increasingly complex. The development of accessory system also received extensive attention by automobile engine manufacturers. The paper provides a reliable and effective method for the design, development and testing of engine front end accessory drive system.Based on the system study of the engine front end accessory drive system, this article introduces the developing process of the engine front end accessory drive system, and establishes the appropriate mathematical model for the design of engine accessory drive system. Using the dynamic software AVL-EXCITE Timing Drive to accessory system for dynamics simulation, related data such as rate of the lateral vibration of belt, the belt slip rate, the twist angle of tensioner, belt tension degree and many other dynamic characteristics and the reasons affect them can be researched and analyzed. In the light of the relevant data obtained by the data simulation, introducing the testing methods for these parameters and proposing the design of the test on bench, convenient for the future testing of accessory system.The paper which established mathematical model, proposed a new method to determine the risk pulley and analyzed dynamic characteristics of accessory drive system has a greater effect. It can help research the engine front end accessory drive system, save time to development the engine accessory system.
