Brake technology is regarded the key factor affecting the safe operation of trains, it also plays a decisive role on the railway transport developed.For the braking system of HEXIE locomotive, mostly locomotive used electro-pneumatic brake based on microcomputer control center, during the braking process, how to accurately control the whole brake pipe pressure is important to the brake property,it is propitious to reduce the longitudinal impulse produced and ensure parking within the safety distance.This paper is based on HEXIE series electric locomotive braking system. Firstly, the locomotive brake system is divided into the brake pipe pressure control module and the locomotive brake cylinder pressure control module. Secondly, analyzing the working mechanism of the high speed on-off valve and the pressure relief valve and constructing the high speed on-off valve PCD simulation model with the aids of the AMESim software, its dynamic characteristics are mainly analyzed through the simulations functions of the software, and applying the batch processing function to judge the influence of key parameters on dynamic performance. Thirdly, this paper use the high-speed switch valve and pressure relief valve as the main actuator designed the balanced air cylinder pressure control system with automatic redundancy booster performance. In order to achieve a feedback loop control of the balanced air cylinder pressure, the classic PID control method is used to rapidly realized elimination of the error. At the same time, the article discussed in the case of spare brake mode of locomotive braking system, analyze the EP module control principle of the balanced air cylinder, and using the AMESim to construct the EP module, making the simulation of the EP module in the main braking condition according to the test data to deserve its output characteristics. Compare the results with the test curve at last, verifying the rationality of the air brake control module built in this paper. Then, the article studies the effect of the relay valve, neutral module in the locomotive brake system and functional structure, the simulation model are constructed and analyzed the mainly affects how to affect the output characteristics with the help of AMESim software.Finally, combine with the balanced air cylinder pressure control system, relay valve, neutral module, pressure sensor and other major components to build the air brake control module to complete the adjustment of brake pipe pressure. Refer to the actual parameters, simulate the air brake module in the main braking conditions, which contains First brake, Full brake, Emergency brake and relief after barking, analyzing the simulation results and compared with the test curve of locomotive to prove the rationality of the built model. Meanwhile, the article discussed the functions of different parameters and analyzing the influence of these parameters, which can put forward feasible scheme to the whole module.
