With the development of urbanization, recreational stroll and rest are inevitably becoming part of people ’s life, and citizens have no choice but to take recreational stroll and rest to compensate the absence of natural attribute of their life. Nowadays people are attaching more and more importance to recreational stroll and rest, and the influence of the experience and behavioral patterns in the process of recreational stroll and rest to the design of city parks is also becoming stronger and stronger. In this research, four parks in Xian and Yangling were chosen to be the investigational candidates, and the experience and behavioral patterns of the recreational strollers were investigated by on-site inspection. The conclusions are as follows. 1.The location and novelty of the parks have influence on the age distribution of the recreational strollers. 2. When recreational strollers select a park that they have not experienced, they put the most attention on the environment of the park. But when recreational strollers select a park that they have experienced before, they put the most attention on the culture of the park. 3. The construction of the network facilities in the park has significance on the design of the city parks afterwards. 4. The influence of the arrangement and richness of the facilities in the park to the recreational strollers, on one hand, can make the experience of the recreational strollers better by taking network design, one another hand, can alleviate the pressure of the park facilities. 5. The short-term and long-term utilization of the park should be paid attention to in the process of design.
