In recent years,with the increase of highway mileage, SBS modified bitumen has been widely used in enginerring areas.As the price of SBS continues to rise, many region shave considered the application of Trinidad Lake Asphalt. Our country have already begun to study Trinidad Lake Asphalt modified asphalt from early on. However, because of the realatively high price of Trinidad Lake Asphalt, it has not been promoted widely. This paper will introduce the reaserch of the quality control in construction techonology for TLA modified asphalt pavement with the example of Anhui Provincial Communications Investment Group project "Lake Modified Asphalt Anhui Expressway applied technology research" and basing on the experimental laying of some segement from Si Xu Sixian to Sihong Lake Asphalt road of Anhui Expressway.And the research was conducted mainly from the following four aspects:the control of raw materials, mix design, keyconstruction technology and post-detection.The main conclusions are as follows.①Through the study of TLA modified asphalt material properties in different amountand previous research experience in engineering practice, the optimum dosage(in accordance with the asphalt mass) of TLA can be obtaind that the ratio is 20% to 35%. The impact of TLA modified asphalt mixing time was not significant. The relationship between precipitation of TLA modified asphalt ash and its storage time is significant.After heating and melting,TLA modified asphalt needs mixting with asphalt and then stirring 30 ~ 40 min. It’s suitable to put the prepared asphalt for too long.②Taking into account the impact of TLA in ash, TLA modified asphalt in the original amount of experience on the pitch to be increased, increasing the coefficient of about 1.08, the coefficient of asphalt mixtures with different fluctuate.③Check the accuracy of mixing time timely when the TLA modified asphalt is being mixed.Due to the presence of ash, TLA modified asphalt can not be stopped stirring for a long time.Control the mixing time and temperature in order to avoid situations such as gray material apprearing and so on.④Take full account of the transport capacity of the vehicle, the amount of vehicle, production capacityof mixing plant and the paving ability and they should be matched with each other. And the mixing station will play the leading role.⑤The Shaanxi large DT1600 paver used in this project can effectively control the mix of segregationwhen it adjusts the buried depth in the mix, speed and other parameters of spiral-feeder.⑥Compared with bloom rolling of traditional drum compactor, the use of "front tire" rolling way has apparent advantages in the aspects of improving compation effect, reducing aggregate crushing, reducing the duration and improve equipment utilization. "Front tire" rolling way means that carry out the initial pressure with rubber tire roller, then use the drum roller pressure and the final pressure multiplexed manner.
