With the rapid development of the national economy, more and more new tunnel project grew. In the tunnel excavation excavation process, In the process of tunnel excavation, predicted in advance of the tunnel in front of geological change, provide more accurate geo-materials for construction, timely adjustment of construction process, it is very important to reduce and prevent the occurrence of accidents.TRT6000 is based on the tomography technology. Using a variety of focal point for the source, tomography technology can emit seismic wave along the tunnel or along the mining. According to the three-dimensional image foremed by the reflected signals which occurr at the place where the nature of seismic waves in rock mass change. Three-dimensional image including the square distance in front of tunnel excavation and the tunnel excavation face in various geological conditions of surrounding rock around a certain distance. The receiver of TRT6000 is high sensitivity, so most of the signal is maximum reserved.with a hammer hammer will reduce the signal attenuation enhances the accuracy of the data, In this way the accuracy of the received wave is higher. the data is more accurate and the defects of the tunnel is more easy to judge.Two features of TRT tomography geological prediction system:①Use of the industry’s unique tomography imaging.②Using a simple hammer can send seismic waves of sufficient strength.This paper has the following main elements:① Tunnel advance geological forecast method of several kinds of commonly uesd means of detection were described, through the comparison of simplicity in the operations, cost, and effectiveness, Outstanding the TRT6000’s advantage of advance geological forecasting.② The basic principles of TRT6000 is Described. including operations of the whole process, from the data collecting, data processing and explaining its conclusions technologies.③ As an example, tongluo mountain tunnel in Chongqing is analyzed, when tunnel ahead constraints exist fault fracture zone, karst cave, as well as the water inrush water gushing in TRT6000 geological body appeared in the image characteristic in the different properties of rock mass(mudstone, sandstone,limestone). And comparing the results with the survey and design, engineering, a new image interpretation is established.
