Vortex flow meter has become essential in daily life and plays an increasingly important role in measurement tests. However, there are still some unsolved problems such as poor anti-interference performance and deficiencies of measuring range due to the restricts of its principle and different measuring conditions.This new ultrasonic vortex heat transmitter combines the principle of vortex flow measurement and the ultrasonic digital measurement tecchnology in principle, and it holds the characteristics of both. The use of time chip of ultrasonic flow and digital signal processing technology makes ultrasonic vortex flowmeter a new version with wider measurement range, stronger anti-interference ability and more accurate measurement. In this article, we present a new research approach of ultrasonic vortex heat transmitter based on the interactions of karman vortex street and ultrasonic beam.First, a new expression of phase modulation frequency of vortex is proposed, and the positioning of vortex occurred body and the optimization design of ultrasonic probe is analysed. We employ SPC bandpass filter, reynolds number online compensation to improve the measurement accuracy and enlarge the measuring scope, at the mean time, the noise signal is effectively controlled. All these has contributed to the development of ultrasonic vortex flow measurement technology.Second, we design the hardware and software of the system with the UTA6902, the specialized chip of ultrasonic measurement. The measurement of digital vortex frequency has been achieved by the hardware processing circuit, and the ultrasonic transmission circuit, amplifying circuit, external spiral repetition circuit, plastic amplification output, temperature measurement have been designed; the service circuit includes a power circuit using the thermoelectric generation technology, an infrared communication circuit and a M-Bus communication circuit. The software includes ultrasonic senging and receiving software modules、the flow measurement data processing program design, temperature signal A/D sampling program, self-checking system and the communication between upper machine and lower machine module design.Finally, we experiment the ultrasonic vortex heat transmitter. A static calibration experiment is held in the first step, and ultrasonic probe transmitting with receiving and vortex signal are all tested normal. Then, the solid flow measurement proves the good performance of our design of ultrasonic vortex heat transmitter.
