Geosynthetics reinforced retaining wall structure have been widely applied in all kindsengineering of geotechnical reinforcement with its excellent engineering properties.Traditional reinforced retaining structures simply considered the contribution of structureon slope stability, while ignore their recovery and coordinating role in the surroundingenvironment. The demand for an effective and comprehensive protection system isimminent, eco-bags reinforced retaining wall structure as an new eco-backgage architecturecombine with protection and maintenance of the engineering safety emerged. In recentyears, this new structures are increasingly being applied to engineering, but the studing onthe corresponding theoretical has seriously lagged behind in China, which engineeringapplications lack the necessary theoretical foundation and normative guidance. Therefore,the paper design pushing tests of eco-bags reinforced retaining wall structure and conductof the finite element analysis to the structure, research force and deformation characteristicsof the structure, to obtain the working mechanism of this new structure. The main contents:(1) Based on retaining structures research status,this article describes the mechanicalengineering applications and basic characteristics of eco-bags reinforced retaining wall,Summarizes the theoretical and experimental research on this new structure in recent years.(2) Designed and assembled a pushing test device of eco-bags reinforced retainingwalls,conducted a comparative tests with various factors,which included the reinforcedmaterials,the thickness of wrapped face,the arrangement of the connector between theeco-bags,thrust applied mode.Analysis the effect of various factors on the deformationcharacteristics to the walls,proposed the most reasonable forms of eco-bags reinforcedretaining walls.(3) Used a more reasonable forms of eco-bags reinforced retaining walls obtainedfrom laboratory tests,analysis model of finite element.To investigate the influence ofdifferent facing types on the mechanical behavior of the eco-bags reinforced earth retainingwall. Including the lateral earth pressure, the vertical earth pressure,the lateral deformationof retaining wall,the strain of reinforcement,distribution of shear stresses,potential failuresurface.
