The concept of Aligned Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete (ASFRC) is proposed inorder to solve the low utilization and enhancement of the disordered steel fiber concrete. The concept of ASFRC provides a new way of thinking for the development of concrete.Inthis paper the mechanical properties of the aligned steel fiber concrete are investigated:Introduce the manufacturing aligned steel fiber concrete through changing the angle ofsteel fiber with the magnetic field effecting. A series of comparative studies have been didfor the differences between ASFRC and the disordered steel fiber concrete in fiberdistribution, orientation and workability; The mechanical properties of aligned steel fiber concrete were studied, the mainresearch content including: steel fiber concrete compression test, splitting tensile test, flexural test and related tests of fracture energy. Analyzed the advantage of the mechanicalproperties of ASFRC through the analysis of the experimental, and the experimental resultsshow that:The method of manufacturing ASFRC through applying the electromagnetic principleis feasible; The mechanical performance of aligned steel fiber concrete is superior togeneral randomly distributed steel fiber concrete in splitting tensile strength, the strength ofconcrete with the first crack, ultimate strength, flexural toughness, fracture energy, fracturetoughness and other aspects during bending. The deflection, crack height, crack width andso on that belong to aligned steel fiber concrete are related to and change with the fibercontent; The aligned steel fiber concrete works well in fiber distribution and concreteworkability. The ASFRC is superior to general randomly distributed steel fiber concrete not only inmechanical performance but also in concrete preparation, fiber distribution, mixtureworkability and other aspects, and has very high application value and broad applicationprospect.
