The paper emphasize on the application of SAC grading design andtest method in aggregate gradation design and construction process, pavement performanceand compact performance of SAC13asphalt mixture,construction of SAC13asphaltmixture and so on.First of all, the paper unifies the asphalt mixture skeleton-dense structure design whichis used to solve skid-resistant performance insufficiency and the serious moisture damageof the highway bituminous pavement, studies the formation standard of asphalt mixtureskeleton-dense structure, suggestes the index of determination asphalt mixture structuretype, studies the intensity constitution of SAC13asphalt mixture.On the basis of narrating the SAC development and application simply, the paperintroduced the SAC aggregate grading design and test method in detail, and it proposed theapplied skill of VCAACaggregate gradation test method and the error scope of passingquantity of different sieve pore which can guarantee the ability of asphalt concrete.On the one hand, it verifies SAC aggregate gradation design and test method aresimple, flexible and strongly applicable, and are generalized and applied expediently by theconstruction of testing section; SAC13asphalt mixture can get good compact performanceby selecting reasonable compaction methods.On the other hand, through analysis of the problems that exist in the constructionprocess, major measures that can improve construction quality are proposed. Furthermore,the tracking and observing data of test section show that SAC13asphalt mixture has betterperformance.
