This paper conducts a study on wind farm active optimal controlmethod on the basis of doubly-fed wind turbine, in order to reduce thefatigue of turbine and make the wind farm can respond to changes in systemfrequency to a certain extent, it pays more attention to the research on theactive power dispatch strategies and the frequency control methods ofwind farms, which has important theoretical significance and practicalvalue. The main work is completed as follows:(1) According to the structure and basic working principle ofdoubly-fed wind turbine, the establishment of a mathematical model andusing MATLAB simulation software to complete the building of each model, including wind speed model, wind turbine model, generator model, converter and the controller model, which Laid the foundation for thesubsequent simulation study.(2) Established a simple mathematical model of the load, and simulatedwith a2MW doubly-fed wind turbine, with rain-flow cycle counting methodanalyzed the relationship between the fatigue aging rate and the referencepower, and then we get the variation between each other at different windspeeds, which provides the basis for the dispatch strategy of this paper.(3) According to the relationship between the fatigue aging rate and thereference power, a new wind farm scheduling policy considering turbine’sfatigue is proposed, and based on the actual configuration of a wind farm, built the corresponding network system and with the comparing simulationbetween the proposed and average dispatch strategies, verified theeffectiveness and feasibility of the proposed strategy.(4) Based on the proposed dispatch strategy, built inertia control loop, pitch control loop, speed control loop for the problem that doubly-fed windturbines can’t respond to the changes in system frequency, and as frequencyresponse module embed into the active control system of turbines. It verifiesthe feasibility of frequency control with wind farms’ participating in thesystem after the simulation, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages ofdifferent frequency control method and the corresponding control strategyis proposed.
