With the accelerated pace of urban modernization, The type of high-rise buildingstructure is becoming more and more rich, For the sake of building function,Inevitablyset some highlight the main structure will be the top small tower。the paper based onseismic wavelet analyses the response of high-rise structures in earthquake.The first step of the earthquake-resistant design is to determine the design seismicmotion of the earthquake, a reasonable seismic input is essential to ensure the correctdesign results. The current study on seismic input has lagged deeply,which affects theoverall level of seismic design theory. There are many uncertainties in the seismicdesign of structures, the inputing uncertainty of ground motion is one of them. In thispaper, seismic motion is divided into the wavelet components, which is inputtedstructure model so that we can make a more detailed study of entering seismic wavesto reduce the impact of uncertain seismic input.In this paper, respectively, we choose ten-story frame with a tower and ten-storyframe without a tower as structural models,then we select Mianzhu seismic waves andJiangyou seismic waves,input original seismic waves and wavelet component of eachcycle segment, calculating seismic response of the structure in order to comparewavelet analysis of the different components of the cycle section, under differentstructural models of different seismic response for a more complete seismic theory.The main research work and achievements are as follows:(1)In this paper, Mianzhu waves and Jiangyou waves are decomposed by usingthe B-spline wavelet, broken down into the different ten band wavelet components, andwe shall have a detailed understanding of both seismic waves and wavelet component of each cycle segment,characteristics like maximum acceleration, excellent cycle, andwhich are used as inputing seismic waves for later analysis.(2)According to the analysis on selecting model calculation model to thestructural dynamic characteristics of the seismic wave input later research hasimportant significance. And using matlab software to programming in this paper, thecalculation method.(3)we can get the conclusion from analysing the calculation results of segments ateach cycle wavelet that the segments which is similar to structural cycle impactsignificantly, accounting for a large proportion of the original wave.we can have adetailed research for the seismic section.(4)The results of the seismic response of the two structures were analyzed, afterthe addition of a small tower structure.In this article research environment,the cycle ofstructure increases, and the displacement and shear of the structure decreases.(5)At the modal displacement, the low order modes of the structure on each floordisplacement plays a dominant role, after increasing the small tower structure, highermode affects on small towers obviously,which takes us appropriate attention to theimpact of higher modes of the structure. In modes shear, low-level modes have agreater impact under the influence of long-period wavelet; while under the influence ofshort-cycle component higher modes impact obviously.
