Recreation-oriented Research Of The Methods Of Planning And Design For Piedmont Area-greenway Of Qinling Piedmont, Xi’an Section

The urban environment has been deteriorated with the accelerated urbanization.What’s more, short-term and short suburb tour is popular in recent years, so thedevelopment of the ecological, beautiful and comfortable city edge recreation zone isvery necessary.The exploration of piedmont area-greenway has the characteristics ofgreat urgency, theoretical blankness and practice blindness.The research aimed to buildthe planning and design method of piedmont area-greenway, and using literaturecitations, field research, qualitative and quantitative analysis and other methods to combthe development law of piedmont area-greenway,excavated the spatial characteristics ofpiedmont area combine with the recent planning and design method of greenways, andusing the general planning for the northern piedmont of Qinling, Xi’an section andLIJIAYAN-CAOSIDONGLU section detailed design of piedmont area-greenway as anempirical study which also proposed the planning and design method of recreation typegreenways in the basis of ecological protection.The framework of this thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is anintroduction which elaborated the origins, purpose and significance, related concepts,perspectives and methods and thinking of the research. The second chapter is the review,which has two sections, the first is the review of the related theories of greenways, andthe other is greenway planning system review, which aims to clarify the hierarchicalrelationship of greenway planning and its relationship with the legal planning. The thirdchapter is the key part of the study, which explored the planning and design methods ofpiedmont area-greenway; this part defines the concept of Piedmont area-greenway,excavated the characteristic of piedmont area, combed the planning system of piedmont area-greenway and built the theory and methodsbasis at the same time.According to theparticularity of the environment for the piedmont area, the research clearlyproposed“Scrolling recreation mode, Elastic buffer mode, Beaded style facility constructedmodel, Split traffic build mode" based on the select line planning，construction of thebuffer zone delineation, facilities Planning, transportation joint planning on the generalplanning level, and respectively proposed natural style, clumps type, localization,naturalization in terrain design, vegetation design, Trail design, facility designfouraspects of the design approach in design level. The fourth chapter is practice research,using the general planning for the Northern Piedmont of Qinling, Xi’an section andLIJIAYAN-CAOSIDONGLU section detailed design of Piedmont area-greenway as anempirical study, and found the verification and feedback after the Post-OccupancyEvaluation of the proposed recreation-oriented planning and design methods. The fifthchapter is the conclusion of the thesis, which generally summarized the content andinnovation of the thesis, and given an outlook of the Piedmont area-greenway.The paper provided a theoretical and technical support for Piedmontarea-greenway construction and had three main innovation points. The first innovationis that the research proposed the concept of piedmont area-greenway and built thetheoretical foundation. The second innovation is that the paper proposed the planningmethod against the piedmont in the planning level under the recreation perspective(Line selection methods, Construction buffer zone delineation methods, Facilitiesdesign methods, Traffic convergence methods). The third is that the paper proposed thedesign method against the piedmont in the design level under the recreation perspective(Terrain design methods, Vegetation design methods, Facility design methods,Recreation trail design methods).
