Some high way in Hebei province, China,80%of it is composite rock cutting high slope, which belongs to tectonic denudation hilly landscape and its natural slope angle is about25-35o.Rock slope was divided into the weathered rock, highly weathered gneiss. In the stronglyweathered layer, rock crushing, fractured joints, large jointed slope inclination which affects thestability of the slope, the slope angel should be55-75°based on the parameters provided by thesite survey data (including the integrity factor of the rock, jointed occurrence and density) andaccording to the slope design conducted under the existing norms "highway roadbed designspecifications". After the construction under this proposal, about35%of the high slope slumpoccurred, causing varying degrees of damage engineering and casualties. In this paper, thenumerical simulation is found that the main factors affecting slope stability is one of a group ofthe same slope inclination larger joints, excavation slope prone to slump when the slope angle is65-75°, therefore, put forth optimized design for a secondary slope cutting. As we all know, the analysis of high slope stability of the composite rock, the core issue isthe multi-jointed simulation analysis. Reasonable conduct slope ratio and type design of the highslope, protective reinforcement project selection and design optimization countermeasures. Inthis paper, utilizing the Finite Element Analysis Software Z_soil.pc v2012and Mohr-Coulombstrength yield criterion, this study builds the Multi-Laminate constitutive numerical models andmakes various simulations. By contrasting before and after the slope cutting, this paper analyzesthe factors that would affect the stability of the composite rock high slope. The resultdemonstrates that different rock layers of the composite rock high slope have a significantinfluence on the stability of the slope. The influence of shear stress in the same rock layer rangesfrom0to12m during the excavation.
