Children has an important status in the family and society, however, in recent years,children’s products infringe on children’s physical and mental health, induction of children’sbad behavior habit and tendency of events have occurred;People paid attention to thequality problem of children’s products, but ignores the design of children product,especially the restrictive design problem, it brings children a safety hazard.Children’sproducts occupy a big proportion in the product design, and special vulnerable groups inchildren as a consumer, the safety of the children’s products may appear problem,potentially affect children’s life habit and ability of impossible to judge and predict, such asthe model of children’s products, structure, material, color and other factors will hurtchildren’s physical and mental health.In view of this, this article puts forward children restrictive product designresearch.This article first related to the design of children’s products and product restrictivetheory are summarized, respectively introduces the common classification of children’sproducts and their respective characteristics, the definition, nature and children’s productsrestrictive design theory basis.Second,"children’s products restrictive design" related issuesfor the questionnaire and analysis, find and dig in the real world problems of children’sproducts, specific product threat to children for children, children’s products affectchildren’s mental health, physical condition, life habit and ability, etc.Again, in the case ofchildren’s toys, from children’s toys aspects such as form, structure, material and coloranalysis the design of children’s products restrictive factors.Then, put forward the design ofchildren product restrictive design strategy, including children’s products to deepen theconcept of "restrictive design", targeted barriers, use the default and destructive institutionalSettings.Finally, the design of children product restrictive was applied in the design practiceof child safety socket panel.
