Near space vehicle (NSV), with its high speed, small size, and other advantages, hasbecome a research focus around the world. At present, the study of NSV is still at a crucialstage of related technologies, with some major problems existing, including the very highresearch funding, the lack of the vehicle simulation characteristics, infeasible repeatableverification and so on. To solve the above questions, this thesis has constructed a targetgenerator specific to the near space environment, which can provide a platform for theresearch of the near space target. Meanwhile, the construct of the target generator havetaken some measures to improve the intelligence of the target and the authenticity ofsimulation environment. The specific contents are as follows:First of all, under the analysis of the requirement of high-speed target detection systemand the purpose of the target generator, the framework of the target generator faced to nearspace vehicle has been designed. Combined with the modular design concept, the targetgenerator is divided into four modules: target characteristics simulation,three-dimensional visual display, intelligent algorithm optimization and target interactiondesign. Then this thesis has designed the software implementation and hardware platformsof the target generator.Secondly, considered the limitations of the authenticity of the simulation environment,this thesis has used a model construction method based on three-dimensional modelingsoftware Creator to construct a three-dimensional model library for near space. Based onthis, the realistic simulation environment has been generated by using three-dimensionalvisual rendering software Vega, which can demonstrate the simulation environmentcombined with the two-dimensional target generation platform created by GIS. Thismethod can improve the authenticity of target generator. At the same time, using LODtechnology, texturing techniques, instance technology and so on, to reduce the number ofredundant polygons during simulation, can improved the efficiency of the graphicsrendering and guaranteed the implementation of the simulation.Afterwards, in allusion to the insufficiency of intelligent of the target, this thesisconsidered the security of NSV, the flight environment of NSV, the flight characteristics ofNSV and other factors, constructed a mathematical model of the target path planning in athree-dimensional environment. Then the three-dimensional space has been gridded intothe flying and non-flying regional areas, and the fitness function of the path planning has been designed. Then, based on the improved particle swarm algorithm, this thesis realizedthe path planning of the NSV under different radar reflection area, effectively improve theintelligence of the target generator.Finally, target generator should combine with HLA to provide a platform to verify thecharacteristics of near space vehicle. Under the discussion of the significance of targetgenerator, a framework of the construction of the target federal has been designed. Inaccordance with the system requirements, target federal has been designed and developedto realize the integration of target generator and simulation systems. Target generator canprovide target occurrence, path planning, real-time target information display,three-dimensional visual display and other functions for the simulation.This thesis provides a design and optimization method of near space intelligent targetgenerator, and effectively simulate the characteristics of the near space vehicle. Intelligentbehaviors like the path planning have been designed for the target to improve theintelligence of the target. And three-dimensional virtual scene combined withtwo-dimensional maps information to describe the simulation process, which effectivelyimproves the authenticity of the simulation. This kind of target generator has a wideapplication prospect, it can provide repeatable simulation platform for the study of nearspace vehicle, such as testing and verifying the radar’s detection results under differentRCS, testing the impact of different environments on the near space vehicle, and findingout how the radar network tracks the target, etc.
