Micro aircraft is of good development prospects, promising application in the field ofmilitary or civilian and important academic research significance, because of its small size,light weight, compact structure, portability, flexible flight attitude and controllable routes.However, when airspace is narrow, the amount of obstacle is large, environment is complex,the potential falling risk of micro aircraft due to collision is increasing significantly,therefore, the security of micro aircraft is confronted with severe challenges. Essentially,the safe flight performance of micro aircraft depends on its structure design and flightcontrol technology to some extent. In this paper, a micro spherical aircraft with collisionprotection was designed and developed, combining with the micro aircraft researchbackground and significance, domestic and foreign present research situation and analysis,in view of the severe challenges of micro aircraft.Firstly, the overall scheme design of the micro spherical aircraft with coaxial doublerotors and four control surfaces was finished, and its structure characteristics, flying styleand working principle were illuminated in this paper, by comparing and analyzing thedifferent solution of fiying style and aerodynamic arrangement form, basing on thetechnical requirements and performance indicators of the project. Then the flight controlsystem hardware of the micro spherical aircraft was designed, its hardware overall designscheme was formulated, the hardware circuit design of its flight controller based on doubleSTM32and the electronic governor of brushless DC motor were finished, combining withits structure characteristics, working principle and functional requirements. And then theflight control system software of the micro spherical aircraft was designed, the softwareoverall process was formulated and the modular design of the flight control systemsoftware was finished. In the end, the micro spherical aircraft physical prototype wasdeveloped, the experiments, tests and analysis of the micro spherical aircraft and itsfunctional module were designed and finished.The experiments and tests results show that the design scheme of the micro sphericalaircraft is feasible, its structure is rational, its flight control system is reliable and its flightperformance is good, the expected design effects o f the micro spherical aircraft wereachieved. The conclusions and results of this paper can provide reference and help for thedesign of relevant aircraft.
