The location configuration and number determining of large flexibleplate actuators/sensors of the complex satellite have always been hot topicin the field of aeronautics and astronautics. Considering the economic costsof actuators/sensors and the complexity of the flexible body itself, the studyof using minimal number and optimal location configuration ofactuators/sensors to control the flexible plate has very important practicalvalue.In this paper, the typical flexible solar panel is the research object, thecoupling relationship between piezoelectric actuator/sensor and solar panelis analyzed and the coupling equation is deduced. To cope with the problemof optimizing the location configuration of actuator/sensor, the optimizationmethod is presented based on the system controllability/observability. Byblock parsing the controllability/observability Gram matrix, thehigher-order Lyapunov matrix equation solution is avoided. Analyzing theparticularity of controllable/significant, the criterion of the optimalconfiguration of actuators/sensors is proposed. In order to find the optimalconfiguration of actuators/sensors quickly, genetic algorithm is used tosolve the time and resource consuming problem in the ergodic process. Forthe local convergence and divergence of traditional genetic algorithm, animproved genetic algorithm based on the adjustment method of adaptivegenetic operator is presented. In this paper, by using the crossoverprobability and mutation probability of the adaptive adjusting geneticalgorithm and combining with the best individual preservation strategy, thedefect of the local convergence and divergence in traditional genetic algorithm is overcome. Practical examples of simulation results show thatthe improved genetic algorithm which combined the adaptive adjustment ofgenetic operators and outstanding individual protection for the optimalconfiguration of the solar panel actuator/sensor is effective.
