The construction of drainage pipeline in soft soil area of Guangdong Pearl River Delta regionwill often have difficulties in the high groundwater level and in deep soft foundation. Whenthe buried pipeline is deeply, it should set up the Larsen Steel Sheet Pile. Also need to set thewater blocking and Foundation reinforcement. But usually, some design companies andconstruction companies don’t pay attention to this kind of support structure of foundation pitfor drainage pipes. They design and construct the simple support structure by experience,without any checking calculation. The accident of drainage pipeline construction in deepfoundation pit happens frequently because of lack of strong support structure.In this paper, taking an example of a project in Foshan, presents the research on the criticaldesign and construction technology of deep foundation pit of drainage pipe under thecondition of high groundwater level and deep soft soil area. The research mainly includes thefollowing contents:(1)How to make the appropriate project according to the engineeringconditions.(2) How to calculate and analysis the supporting project.(3) How to deeppen thedesign with the results of calculation and Analysis on the project.(4)What constructionprocess should be followed and what keypoints need to be considered.Basing on the research and summary of above contents, this paper can be used as aprofessional case guidance of design and construction of deep foundation pit of drainagepipeline in soft soil area. It can be used to guide the design and construction of the same typefoundation pit engineering.
