Basing on the current use of solar thermal, the separate type heat pipe technology wasapplied to the solar heat collecting system and a set of separate type heat pipe solar heatcollecting system is designed and built in this paper. working fluid is heated in thecollectors, rise along the piping to the condenser after evaporation, and return to thecollectors after full condensation under the action of gravity in the system. Thus the entirecycle is completed.R134a was used as working fluid of the system in this paper. because of the phasechange cyclic process, no driving force and removable parts is in the system whichprovides a good solution to the conventional solar integration system which have highthermal power consumption and icing problem.The flat-plate solar collector which can work at high pressure was made-to-measurein this paper. By using reservoir in the system, it can not only adapt the change ofenvironment but also guarantee safely and reliably operating of the system to some extent.In order to solve the solar heat collecting system’s installation problems, Thesupport of the solar collector was transformed, which can effectively meet therequirements of the connection between the solar collector in the paper. In addition,separate type heat pipe solar heat collecting system’s tightness is tested using the methodof comparison. the results show the system’s tightness is good.Using the method of theoretical calculation, the heat transfer of the finned tubecondenser was calculated, and the heat transfer coefficient of the condenser side is74.05W/(m2·K). The tube wall temperature and tank temperature of the system are alsotested when the filling quantity is120.5kg, the testing results shows: the separated typeheat pipe solar collecting system can start easily and work stably, but the condensed refluxis not uniform, and when the intensity of radiation is smaller, the water temperature of thehot water tank can most reach up to40.3℃.
