Due to the wide application of reinforced concrete in high-rise structure andlarge construction project, the type of reinforcing steel bar in reinforced concretestructure has become more and more varied, the strength is also become more andmore high, the requirement of the steel quality is rising, and the rapid development ofthe economy speed up the building of renewal, more and more expansion project isemerging, the requirements of the technical of connecting old and new component isalso more and more high. In addition, the improvement of construction cost and thespeed of construction progress are forcing the birth of new technologies to meet therequirements, so the rebar compound coupler is born.This paper mainly studies the fatigue performance of the rebar compoundcoupler with the dynamic load. According to the American data, we design the rebarcompound coupler, then we make the static uniaxial tensile test of the rebarcompound coupler by the finite element software’s support in accordance with therequirements of national standard and analysis the data. Then we simulate the fatigueperformance of the coupler under the repeated loading with the finite element’sfatigue analysis module.We can optimize the design by the analytic data,providingdata support for the promotion and application of this new coupler.
