| Worm drive is one of very important mechanical transmission forms, the plane-generated double enveloping worm gearing is a new type of worm drive, successfully developed by our country, with many advantage, such as double exposure, strong bearing capacity, transmission more stable and so on. Currently the theoretical studies plane-generated double enveloping worm gearing have been maturing, but there are some shortcomings in manufacture and application of CAD technology on worm worm, so this paper focused on the actual content modeling worm, and parameterization software development.First, discusses the development process of t plane-generated double enveloping worm gearing, and its research achievements and its problems are analyzed and discussed. Based on the building of coordinate system of plane-generated double enveloping worm gearing according to the actual manufacture process, based on the coordinate system conversion between the matrix and the space meshing theory, derived the tooth surface equation and the equation of the line of contact, etc., to obtain a theoretical mathematical model of the worm gearing.Mathematical model as theory basis, with MATLAB numerical ability, in certain fixed parameters such as initial center distance, the transmission ratio, worm head count, we can obtain a series coordinates of the point cloud of worm tooth surface, and import these point clouds to Pro/E to obtain a three-dimensional model of the worm gearing, to meet the needs of post-processing. On the basis of mathematical models and the worm point cloud model, change the certain parameters, get the worm hob model, using Boolean operations in MATLAB, imitating the actual processing of the worm, to cut away the redundant part in the worm blank point-clouds, get the actual worm point-cloud models.Aim at meeting production demand better, The software about the planar enveloping hourglass worm gear design and calculation has been developed by MATLAB/GUI, Features include accurate calculation of geometric parameters, read and save the parameters, drawing the model worm, interference expression, the software is required calculate accurate, reasonable design, friendly interface, easy operation and other characteristics. |
