Today, in the concept of people-oriented service, how to improve the Medical institutions’quality of service has become the goal of struggle and competition for various medical institutions. And as one of the important way that all kinds of the medical institutions improve the quality ofservice, passenager guidance system get more and more attention. In these cases, such as the scaleof medical space gradually expands, the structure of environment becomes more and morecomplex, the departments have become numerous and the traffic streamline becomes vertical andhorizontal, it is urgent to get a humanized identity-oriented system that guides the passenger flow, which make their space position clear and guides their travel routes.Especially for this special group of patients in hospital,Universal Design could meet theneeds of patients to the greatest extent without special designing and modifying.Universal Design is to provide all the people with the equal, safe, easy opportunity that they canuse the environment at best. The theory and practice of Universal Design has played a positiverole that broadens the idea and method of the medical institutions’ passenger guidancesystem and enrichs the connotation of the identity-oriented system.Firstly, the paper studies the application of Universal Design in identity-oriented system ofmedical institutions. The design of identity-oriented system of medical institutions is based on thestudy of the theory that is about the philosophy and principles of UniversalDesign,Ergonomics,Cognitive Psychology,Environmental Psychology and so on. Secondly, itprovides the methodological guidance for identity-oriented system of medical institutions bystudying the patients’ demand, the environmental characteristics, the identification set and thebasic principles of the Identification’ design about medical institutions. Again, the theory andmethod about design was applied to design the medical institutions’identity-oriented system, which not only expands The scope of the crowd who use the oriented identity in medicalinstitutions, improve the efficiency of sign’s identifiability, effectively guide the patients, but alsooptimize the process and improve the efficiency of the treatment. Finally, through the spotinvestigation of People’s Hospital in Suining County, analysing the existing problems, physiological and psychological characteristics of the patients and their needs and expectations ofthe identity-oriented system in hospital, which in turn to design the identity-oriented system ofPeople’s Hospital in Suining County. By verifying this case’s design, which contains the feasibilityand the rationality of the research method and theoretical results, this paper provides a referencefor other medical institutions. The innovation of this topic: firstly, this paper’s topic is based on the concept ofpeople-oriented design, which fully investigates the patients’ behavior and the demand inthe medical institutions, and changes the dentity-oriented systems of previous medicalinstitutions, which only pay attention to the appearance and the culture, rather than consideringthe characteristics of the patients’ physiological and psychological needs; Second, through the study of Universal Design about the identity-oriented system in medical institutions, the medicalinstitutions’ identity not only becomes applicable for normal using requirements, also meets theneeds of some special community such as the elderly, pregnant women, visually handicapped andso on, whose part of body are weakening or the cognition of environmental requirements arelossing; Third, through system identification of the medical institutions’ guide Shared design, eachfunctional domain of medical institutions is guided by reasonable segmentation, so as to guide thepatients effectively and guarantee the normal operation of medical institutions; Fourth, by usingthe dynamical oriented-identity and Internet technology of digital multimedia, to informpatients medical dynamic information timely and guarantee the information symmetry betweendoctor and patient.
