Drainage pumping station is an important part of the municipal water supplyand drainage, whose design and operation directly affect the stability anddevelopment of the society. Yet, there still exist some problems in pumpingstation design. This paper centers on the construction of Jinjing highway IIintegrated storm water and sewage pumping station in Xinkou County, XiqingDistrict, offering a detailed description of the feasibility design of pumpingstation.This feasibility study points out the main problems in municipal pumpingstation design based on the analysis of the present situation and development ofthe drainage pumping station both in China and abroad, which lays the foundationfor the development and improvement prospects of the drainage pumping stations.Secondly, the engineering background, the regional overview and naturalconditions of Xinkou County, Xiqing District, as well as the current condition ofdrainage are thoroughly analyzed in this paper. This paper also points out thenecessity of the project and defines the distribution of rain and wastewater. Aftersetting the standards of drainage design and parameters, additional calculationsdetermine the scale of the rain pumping station and the sewage pumping station.The service area of the rain pumping station is approximately345hectares, fluxQ=12m3/s; The service area of the sewage pumping station is2250hectares, fluxQ=2.2m3/s。The pumping station is identified as a permanent pumping station,which covers an area of4600square meters according to the plan.With the scale of the pumping station settled, this paper designs eachtechnological process and calculates the technology parameters of each structure.Also it designates the precise model of the major equipment through calculatingand inquiring. The design of the grille: to adopt3mobile raking machines for therain pumping station, with the single flux4m3/s, width of the channel=2.5m, grilleclearance b=50mm; To adopt3rotary bar screen machines for the sewagepumping station, with the single flux=0.73m3/s, width of the channel=1.5m, grilleclearance b=20mm. The design of the pumping station: For storm water pumpingstation to adopt semi-underground designing, flux Q=12m3/s, To adopt6 submersible axial-flow pumps of Model900QZB-50, with single flux=2056L/S,lift=8.1m; For processing specificity of the location(close to the countygovernment), this paper the designing scheme of full underground sewagepumping station, with automatic delivery mechanism and deodorizationequipment, protecting the environment and economizing manpower. Flux of thesewage pumping station Q=2.2m3/s, To adopt7water pumps of Model400WQ1600-10-756,5in use,2standing by,with flux=1600m3/h, lift=8.5m. Inaddition, the architecture, structure, electrical and automatic control designing ofthis pumping station are presented afterwards.Finally, this paper refers to some other questions, including theenvironmental protect, the safety and health condition, fire prevention, energysaving, etc, putting forward specific requirements.
