Tianjin Binhai New Area is located in east coast of Tianjin, central around BohaiRegion, is the eastern starting point of the Eurasian Continental Bridge recently, isalso an important sea of China neighbouring landlocked countries. Relying on theBeijing-Tianjin-Hebei metropolis circle, service Bohai, radiation "Three North",facing Northeast Asia, and strive to build a modern manufacturing Chinese openinggateway of the north, high level and R&D base conversion, the northerninternational shipping center and the international logistics center, the development ofTianjin Binhai New Area has been listed in the national regional economic overalldevelopment strategy layout. According to the deployment of the Party CentralCommittee and the State Council, Tianjin Binhai New Area the focus of recent workof construction is Tianjin Dongjiang Bonded Zone, in order to promote the furtheropening. The construction of Dongjiang Bonded Port area is inevitable choice toexpand the space,perfect the port function, and build a world-class port of Tianjinport.Dongjiang Free Trade Port Area in Tianjin holds the special geological conditionof ocean-land mutual influenced sedimentary soft soil of typical coastal region. Thesoft soil shaped by hydraulic reclamation is with the characteristics of low unit weight,high void ratio, high moisture content and extremely low strength, and its bearingcapacity of basement and stability are small and weak. As a result, consolidationtreatment for basement is needed for the purpose of meeting engineering construction.Thanks to the development of Dongjiang port, more and more areas and roads realizesfinal acceptance of construction and are put into service. Unfortunately, there aresome problems exposed during later service, for example, differential settlement offoundation brings potential damage to existing buildings. Therefore, serious research,analyzing of damage reason and providing corresponding construction counter planare strongly recommended.Therefore, this thesis concerns about following tasks:(1) The geological conditions of Dongjiang Harbor were analyzed and severalcommon foundation treatment methods were introduced;(2) Investigation and analysis to the existing damage; (3) The settlement of built roads was analyzed and calculated by finite elementanalysis; the dynamic triaxial tests were carried out to estimate the subgrade residualsettlement caused by vehicle dynamic load;(4) Research on preventive measures of the construction of soft soil foundationand put forward the design scheme to reduce uneven settlement of the roadbed.
