Shield machine is modern infrastructure construction equipment, mainly used inunderground tunneling work. It has been used more and more widely in urbaninfrastructure construction, especially in the cities with large population, because it takessmall space and impacts limited places when working while space utilization is very high.In the meantime, it has significant disadvantage----high energy consumption. The powerconsumption of a shield machine equals nearly to a small or middle size plant. Nowadayspeople are paying more and more attention to energy conservation and environmentalprotection as we are so short of energy. This is also a key factor in the field ofinfrastructure construction. This thesis analyzes hydraulic system electricity consumption from the perspective ofsegment erector structure as it is the part most vulnerable. It is very complicated toanalyze the energy consumption of shield machine, because it is affected by soil quality, axis and depth design of tunnel, construction timing, etc. It the meantime, the segmenterector system is not affected. The energy consumption is on the same level in differentworking condition. This thesis specifies the structure and working principle of segment erector system, emphasis on its simulation, calculation and analysis. First, the research selects the mosteffective and low-cost way of control method based on speed and orientation control, considering segment erector working pace, locating accuracy and system stability. Andthen analyzes energy consumption the difference between different segment erectorsystem tracks. The conclusion is verified by a case of energy consumption ofφ6000mmmetro tunnel segment construction with3different tracks and the electricity charge data of6large diameter slurry balanced shield machines.
