With the development of the national enonomy and the huge demand for electricity, theconstruction projects are increasing everywhere, while the nuclear power plays an importantpart in the whole field. The nuclear energy is one kind of clean energy which our nataionencourages its development. With the current expanding nomestic demand, the constructionpace of nuclear energy is accelerating. But the security of nuclear engineering is a problemwhich people around the world are concerned about. Especially since Japan occered nuclearleak caused by big earthquake, the requirement about the nuclear seismic safety has becomeimperative. Therefore the research about pipe system, which is weak in nuclear engineering,has an important practical significance.Combined with the process pipeline seismic analysis and calculation subject, thepipelines and its brackets are made the seismic analysis with the method of theoretical studies,numerical simulatin, as well as example calculation. The main contents are as following.(1) By comparing the strong earthquake records worldwild, this paper puts forward toa suitable seismic response spectrum;(2) Three different pipe calculation softwares are compared in this paper and by usingfinite element theory and seismic response analysis methods, this paper proposes one to makeseismic analysis;(3) This paper compares and analyzes the pipelines seismic characteristics in differentrestrict conditions and figures about the system dangerous sections;(4) Two methods, the base shear method and time history analysis method, are usedand compared to analyze the brackets seismic response. The results indicate that thedangerous sections are brackets end and the contact surface with the pipe. And for studingsmall height brackets, the vertical seismic action can be negligible.(5) Combied with the time-history response, the brackets reliability analysis is madeand the primary impacts on the brackets reliability and their relevance are determined, whilethe relationship between the peak ground acceleration and the structural reliability is studied.
