Energy is directly related to the development of the whole country and even thewhole world. As a result, with the rapid development of technology, the improvementof energy usage to reduce waste has become an important research direction for allover the world. With civilian energy increased year by year, it was gradually acceptedabout the effective management of appliances energy consumption. Smart appliancesas the product of the development of modern science and technology have graduallyreplaced the traditional ones, to reflect various appliances energy information andachieve the intelligent control. Comparing with a monthly bill, it is particularlyimportant and more convenient for the users to know the detailed composition of theenergy consumption within the family by the intelligent operating platform. Due tothe late beginning of smart appliances in our country, energy consumption detectionplatform features a single, complex operation. Taking into account the necessity ofenergy detection system for smart appliances, integrated wireless network andembedded operating system, according to habits of home users, it can effectivelycarry out various functions integration, to improve the management of smartappliances and the overall energy usage.In this thesis, the development status for the subjects all over the world wasmade analysis and discussion in detail, to clear the research contents of the thesis.Based on the needs of the system, four modules were designed, containing appliancesenergy consumption data storage, energy consumption detection and intelligentcontrol, communications and gateway management as well as remote controlplatform. Appliance energy consumption data storage module achieved the collectionfor energy consumption of the running appliances in real time, which was sent topower detection and intelligent control module, automatically to contrast to theoverall goal of energy consumption control. When energy consumption exceeds thesetting level, home appliances remote control platform will make re-combinationcontrol and power rationing, to achieve the whole family consumption optimization.Overall detection system, energy consumption balancing algorithms was importantthat when energy control was needed, give priority to the continued supply electrical,for the intermittent supply of electrical, give priority to the effective demand forelectricity in the region, to avoid inconvenience to the overall life with the energyconsumption in the local optimization. After controlling any home appliance energyconsumption, it should re-scan and make energy consumption level analog computingoverall household appliances. This paper presents goal and the complete design of the detection system. Functional analysis was made on energy detection, from theplatform software, as well as data transfer to clear the key technology and designfocus. And then design process for smart appliances energy detection system wasmade in detail, as well as the overall structure of the system containing the platform,various function, instructions for home gateway and network formation.Based on it described in detail about the realization method for each module intthe system and its workflow. Final completion of the test system on functionality andperformance were made with the appropriate evaluations.
