Urban underground rail transit project investment is huge, high social concern, the riskmay cause huge economic losses and very bad social influence, and therefore its riskmanagement is crucial. In view of this, the paper put the Guangzhou subway constructionproject as a platform to study the shield construction risk management and control. Byexploring the shield construction risk identification, risk analysis and risk control, proposedrisk analysis methods and control measures for Guangzhou Metro shield construction, toprovide a reference for similar projects.In this paper, the Guangzhou subway line eight North Extension Section Project(Xiaoping~Shijing interval) for the study, focusing on the shield construction risk analysisand risk control measures proposed, the main contents are as follows:(1) Firstly, the background, significance were introduced, described the study of riskmanagement at home and abroad, and finally this paper is to propose a framework for thestudy.(2) Combined with the research object of this paper, introduces the meaning of the risk,causes, types and characteristics, elaborated on the basis of definition, project riskmanagement elements, focuses on the process of project risk management.(3) Introduces the principles and processes of shield construction, as well as risk analysismethod used in this paper, and then combined with the characteristics of the Guangzhousubway construction project, proposed the risk grading standards for Guangzhou subwayconstruction project risk management.(4) AHP and risk matrix method for the construction of risk analysis and evaluation, todetermine the level of a single risk factor, the primary risk level, secondary level of risk.Finally, the single risk factor evaluation results, Ⅳ level of risk presented for routine controlmeasures, and above grade Ⅲ propose targeted risk control measures to minimize the risk ofthe construction, the project to ensure the smooth and safe.
