Pre-heater tower is high-rise steel structure, which is different from the commoncivil building structure, but there is no domestic for this kind of building codes orspecifications, the design of high-rise buildings for general reference. This paper takesa pre-heater tower structure as the research object, on the basis of previous studies,further research on the pre-heater tower structure frame beam and beam column jointsbe performed. The main work and conclusions of this thesis including followingpoints:Firstly, In terms of the relevant revision of the Code for Seismic Design ofBuildings of China(GB50011-2010)on the width-thickness ratios of frame beam, thequantity of steel will greatly increase. Adopting a finite element software to establishthe pre-heater tower according to the Code of2001and2010, investigate localstability of the frame beam according to the results of the earthquake dynamicanalysis. Then determining suitable ratio limit for pre-heater under different seismicprecautionary intensity is performed. Research results show that: The originalstructure can meet the requirements of the stability of the frame beam. Under differentseismic grade,pre-heater frame beam Width-Thickness Ratio can be relaxed.Secondly, this paper introduces the structure and classification of pre-heatertower frame beam column node, using the finite element software ANSYS to do someresearch of nodes, as the deformation and stress of node and internal component. Thendiscusses the function and setting principles underpinning the joint stiffener. Researchresults show that, the node has good carrying capacity to meet the requirements of therelevant regulations, stiffened plate can effectively improve the mechanicalperformance of internal force of the node which has a large Internal force in support.Finally, using parameter analysis method on the compression performance ofpre-heater tower structure typical of gusset plate frame beam column joints is studiedby numerical analysis. Investigating the effect of the main parameters of the gussetplate, the node plate for pre-heater tower structure node values of the parameters isrecommended. Research results show that, supporting connecting angle has littleeffect on the gusset plate, the gusset plate thickness and the unsupported length playsa major role. Under the limit of unsupported length, based on the angle of connection, support type and bearing force to determine the node plate thickness of the.
