On the background of the construction of large space pipe truss steel structure,with the idea of computer integrated manufacturing, in order to achieve theintegration of large space pipe truss steel structure design and pipe cuttingmanufacture integration, in this thesis, the software system for cutting theintersecting line of large spatial pipe truss steel structure is researched anddeveloped. The main contents and contributions of this thesis are listed as follows:(1) The cutting trajectory of intersecting line are obtained in real time byadopting a new solving method algorithm which obtains cutting trajectory ofintersecting line by the motion of branch generatrix. Furthermore, someformulations of intersecting line are derived for some common intersection types ofpipe. At the same time, automatic calculations of intersecting line for avariety of intersection type are achieved by using the dynamic link library program.(2) Through the research of construction process of large spatial pipe truss steelstructure and the analysis of topological structure of Solidworks3D model of parts,the parameters information, needing by the intersecting line of large spatial pipetruss steel structure, are extracted and reserved from Solidworks3D model by usingVBA for Solidworks second development.(3) Depending on the research of intersecting model and structural features offive-axis pipe cutting machine, the numerical control system, calculating commonintersecting type, is developed by Visual C++for five-axis pipe cutting machine.The software can not only generate NC codes by loading system parameter fileautomatically and display simulation cutting model, but also calculate the externalparameters entered manually.(4) Through operating the large spatial pipe truss steel structure intersectingline cutting integrated manufacturing software system, the pipes parameters areobtained and the NC codes are generated automatically in the production process ofpipe cutting. It shows that the major problems can be dealt well by the softwaresystem in the production of pipe cutting.
