The high temperature and heavy rain are characterized as the climate characterin hot and humid regions of Southeast where the pavement damage is generallyoccurred. The high temperature and axle load are the important factors resulting inrutting. Road surface water infiltration into the asphalt Pavement Structure willreduce the asphalt membrane adhesion to aggregate, resulting from the aggregatesurface asphalt membrane peeling, leading to the water damage of pavement.Therefore, the asphalt pavement in high temperature and rainy conditions damage hasbecome an urgent problem need to solve in design and maintenance of asphaltpavement to all countries.This paper mainly based on Southeast humid areas of the city roads and waterdamage prevention and control technology, Combined with the existing domestic andforeign literatures for the damage of asphalt pavement hot humid area, analyzed thedamage mechanism of Quanzhou asphalt pavement structure under the hot and rainyconditions. First, summarized the Quanzhou natural environment, rainfall, andclimate characteristics, investigated the Quanzhou area for nearly30years from1981to2011rainfall, average temperature and high-temperature maximum andminimum values. The paper summarizes the characteristics and mechanism ofQuanzhou asphalt pavement damage. Then, through the experimental study ofmaterial properties of asphalt mixture change under the influence of water and thetemperature, gives the elastic modulus of asphalt changes with temperature and waterenvironment. Using test data relationships, based on elastic layered theory finiteelement model to analyze the mechanism under hydrostatic mechanical response ofasphalt pavement under traffic load. Then using the weather ofQuanzhou City summer day, calculated the surface air temperature changes ofthe asphalt road surface by formula. The paper used the finite element numericalsimulation to calculate the temperature field of asphalt pavement structure, analysisof Asphalt Pavement along the depth and temperature changes over time. Then,based on the asphalt pavement temperature field analysis, based on the theory ofthermo-elastic layered system, using ANSYS finite element method to analyze thesequence of coupled mechanical response of asphalt pavement structure under theeffect of temperature and load coupling. Under the summer high temperatureand rainstorm, analysis the Change in mechanical response of asphaltpavement structure by the interaction of the water and temperature.
