With fossil fuels are deficient and emission regulations are strict day by day, developing new alternative and cleaning fuels which can combust in engine are the trend.Nowadays, more and more researchers added alternative and cleaning fuels to diesel orgasoline engine, and got good feasibility, cleanliness and economy. For example, biodiesel, ethanol, methanol, dimethyl ether etc. Especially methanol is increasinglyvalued, because of its perfect burning performance. This article focuses on the methanol-diesel combined combustion, uses port fuelinjection, realizes in-cylinder combustion. Methanol injection value and injection timeare controlled by developed ECU, so as to measure the engine exhaust performanceunder different condition and different blending ratio, and then compare with the exhaustof pure diesel so as to find the law of exhaust. The experience results that mixed dieselcan reduce the NO. At low load, because of their relatively low cylinder temperature, NOreduces very significantly with the increase of methanol mixed. At high load, due to thecombustion of methanol enriched oxidation effect, NO’s trend appears high performanceat some blending ratio point. With the increasing blending ratio, unburned HC and COalso increased, especially the load is low. While the combustion effect good at high load,HC and CO emission is relatively low. And mixed diesel can reduce the root. Fueleconomy, at low load, with the blending ratio becomes larger, equivalent fuelconsumption appears an increasing trend, while in high load, with the blending ratioincreases equivalent fuel consumption decreases, so it should burn pure diesel fuel at lowload, mixture at high-load. From this experiment, it can be concluded that blending ratiomust be controlled at an appropriate level, so that the engine can get a better emissionsresults, and can have a good fuel economy.
