In order to ensure the security of driving at night, the government standardGB4599-2007has formulated the rules of near light distribution performance. To improvethe yield, the lamp manufactures require a set of optical detection system for eachproduction line. But it’s difficult to achieve a25meters long and8meters wide darkroomspecified in the national standard in the production site, so they need a kind of testingequipment which is smaller and easy to integrate with the production line. At present, theforeign products is expensive, however, the domestic research in this area is not yetmature. This preliminary research is based on the GB4599-2007and combining thespecific requirement of lamp manufactures. The near-light light distribution and electricalparameters detection system were studied. The main work lies on:The basic developing status of the headlamp lighting tester is analyzed. And astructure that based on a condenser lens is adopted. The host computer worked with thelower control card to perform the job of measuring and testing. The tester is space-savingand easy to install in the production siteIn order to testing the corner-point of the cut-off line when the line is vague a newmethod based on Gauss-Laplace operator is put forward. The method is stable among thewide range of the image exposure time. The matrix of the2G (r)operator is optimized with the3σ principle of Gaussfunction thus the speed of the image processing is improved. The measurement andcontrol system of the tester is designed and the calibration method of image tilt, distance, illumination intensity and voltage and current of this system is introduced.Test results show that the system runs stably, meanwhile roughly described the nearlight distribution, but the accuracy of some point remains to be further improved.
