Study On The Gelation Properties Of Composite Of Steel Slag And Blast Furnace Slag, And The Reach Of Its Application For Marine Environment

Compared with blast furnace slag,as one of the metallurgical slag,steel slag has somedefects like early activity and stability,so its value in cement and concrete industry is not veryhigh.Lead to metallurgical slag’s comprehensive value-added failed to maximize.For Increasethe comprehensive utilization of the metallurgical slag,in this paper, we make blast furnace slagand steel slag into micro powder and mix them,then study the gelation properties of the mixtureand it’s application for marine environment.The main contents are as follows:(1)Basic properties of blast furnace slag and steel slag.The results show that steel slag’schemical composition is similar to Portland cement,it has the potential activity ofgelation.Through the calculation of alkalinity,we can determine the steel slag for test is highcalcium slag.From the analysis of chemical composition,we can determine the blast furnace slagis acidic slag.The blast furnace slag’s quality factor is2.03,it has high activity.Grindingperformance, steel slag can be grinded more easily, but it has more hard material than blastfurnace slag, and the grinding powder of two materials, micro particle size range through sieving(0.08mm) is superior to Portland cement, so the admixture has the foundation as a physical fill.(2)Research on impact of grinding steel slag powder,blast furnace slag powder single dopedand binary complex added to the properties of mortar.The results show that:when the singledoped content is25%,the blast furnace slag powder’s specific surface area is430m2/kg,the steelslag powder’s specific surface area is584m2/kg,the energy consumption and activity can achievea better combination.In the aspects of single doped content,the blast furnace slag powder’s singledoped content reach70%also can ensure the later activity,but the steel slag powder’s singledoped content should not be more than20%.In the aspects of binary complex added content,ifconsider the industry standard for Level1steel slag powder,when the binary complex addedcontent is40%and50%,Among them,the steel slag powder’s content should not be more than60%and50%.By using three kinds of activators to compare stimulating effect,they all showthe positive and negative stimulating effect in7d and28d. The excitation effect and stability ofAnhydrous calcium sulfate is the best,Calcium hydroxide worse,Sialic acid sodium should not bean exciting agent alone.In addition, steel slag powder, blast furnace slag powder single doped and binary complex added all can guarantee mortar has a good liquidity.(3)Research on impact of grinding steel slag powder, blast furnace slag powder singledoped and binary complex added to the composition of hydration products and microstructure ofPortland cement.Impact of single doped and binary complex added to the composition ofhydration products of Portland cement is roughly the same Compared with the blast furnace slagpowder,steel slag powder exposes the activity gradually in the later hydration.Portland cementstones show more micro cracks,and when the binary complex added content is50%,the Portlandcement stones show less micro cracks obviously,and the micro holes are less than singledoped.It shows that the complex of two has a certain number of coordination effect on themicro.(4)Research on impact of steel slag powder, blast furnace slag powder, fly ash compositemixed with each other doped to mechanics and work performance of concrete.The result showthat:micro powder composite doped is better for work performance of concrete.In the aspect ofstrength,blast furnace slag powder and steel slag powder composite is better than blast furnaceslag powder and fly ash composite, in28d the activity is same with blast furnace slag powdersingle doped.Highly reactive species blast furnace slag powder has a greater influence on theactivity of slag steel powder composite blast furnace slag powder early, but basic same later.Slagsteel powder composite blast furnace slag powder has better active coordination effect in highwater/cement ratio than low water/cement ratio,when Anhydrous calcium sulfate as a singleexciting agent,its content with2%is advisable,anhydrous calcium sulfate and calciumhydroxide as a compound excitation agent, failed to show compound excitation effect.(5)Research on impact of steel slag powder, blast furnace slag powder, fly ash compositemixed with each other doped to concrete resistance to marine environment.Experimental resultsshow that:Incorporation can improve the concrete resistance to chloride ion penetrationperformance, increase between10%~43%.Micro powder composite doped is better than singledoped,blast furnace slag powder and steel slag powder composite is better than blast furnaceslag powder and fly ash composite,and better than blast furnace slag powder singledoped.Incorporation can improve the sulfate corrosion resistance of concrete, the highestincrease can be20%.Composite content with40%is advisable,the incorporation can improve artificial seawater corrosion resistance of concrete, the biggest increase up to12%.Whencomposite content is30%,blast furnace slag powder and fly ash composite is better than blastfurnace slag powder and steel slag powder composite.When composite content is50%,the twocomposite have same effect.The incorporation can reduce early cracking of concrete.In theaspect of concrete wear-resisting performance,incorporation of blast furnace slag powder is notgood for concrete wear-resisting,but dope steel slag powder and fly ash can reduce theharm.When composite content up to50%,cement concrete wear-resisting performance is betterthan cement concrete without any powder.In this paper, the research for utilization of furnace slag powder, steel slag to makecomposite powder admixture,provide the basis for cement concrete industry to promote andresearch,to provide the reference for furnace slag powder, steel slag to make compositepowder relevant application technology.
