In this thesis, Rubrene/C70based organic solar cells with PIN structure were fabricated byvacuum thermal evaporation. Two aspects were studied as follows:1. PIN organic solar cells with the structure of ITO/V2O5/Rubrene/C70:Rubrene/C70/BCP/Al were fabricated,using Rubrene、Rubrene and C70mixing layer, and C70as P, I, N layer,respectively. The thickness effect of the mixing layer on the performance of the cells wasrevealed, indicating optimized device performance at thickness of5nm. The power conversionefficiency of optimized cell was as high as1.58%and the short-circuit current was up to4.365mA·cm-2, which are140.3%and129.7%more than those of the PN device. We suggest that theinsertion of the I layer increase the separation ratio of the excitons, therefore lead to theenhancement of the device performance.2. The degradation of the devices with the structure of ITO/V2O5/Rubrene/C70:Rubrene/C70/BCP/Al was researched systematicaly. The experimental results show that the device of Vocalmost does not change with time, whlie the Jsc, FF and η to decline increased over time. Themain reason may be the moisture in the air and oxygen to seep in components of organic activelayer and reaction happens, which leads to the deterioration of the device interface and theconductivity decreased. So the devices’ series resistance increased. In addition, the lightaccelerated the degradation of device performance.
