With the continuous development of economy and society, and the increasingpressure on resources and environment, saving energy has become the consensus ofthe whole society, which is also the trend of the development of engineeringmachinery and equipment. As is known to all, crane has been widely used in all walksof life, and it is the consumption of traditional energy, at the same time, which alsohas a great potential of energy saving. From the operating characteristics of liftingpoint of view, in the process of decentralization, with the potential gravity changing,it will produce a large amount of energy regeneration. To study how to fully recoverand utilize renewable energy becomes very favorable to reduce environmentalpollution and reduce business costs and improve the competitiveness of enterprises,which also has important social and economic significance.Firstly, this paper described the hoisting machinery application background andcommon energy-saving measures, and briefly summarized the research andapplication of hybrid technology, then performed further comparative analysis of theresearch status of hybrid power crane, which laid the foundation for the further studyof this paper. And energy flow and energy consumption of the traditional system ofcrane was also analyzed, and the great potential of energy saving and energy sectorswas also gotten, as a starting point for the mining system, to make clear therequirements for the energy storage system principles, this paper established the basicstructure of multi-power source mixed using.Secondly, the characteristics of the engine and the energy storage device werestudied, which provided the basis for formulating control strategy. Putting forward thecomposite structure of super capacitor and battery not only could be used as energystorage system recycling energy, but also could be used as an auxiliary power source,which helped the diesel generator set to storage energy when lifting heavy weights.Thirdly, with the composite scheme of multi-power source of the set ofdiesel-ultracapacitor-battery based on the composition, the overall design of thesystem is performed. Then the lifting work cycles in different working conditionswere divided, and the diesel generator set, the control strategy of different workingstate of composite power and bi-directional DC control strategy for DC converter and the energy consumption braking resistor were carried out. Eventually, with energycontrol strategy and power drive system based on hardware, the parameters matchinggenerator and a storage element were studied.Lastly, simulation model was established for key components of multi-powersource mixing crane system, according to the system configuration and controlstrategy, the system assembly model was built. Through simulation and analysis, theultracapacitor/battery hybrid power and diesel generator hybrid drive’s feasibility andenergy control strategy were validated.
