Based on studying the results of previous studies on the seismic performance ofeccentric structure, in this paper, I analyzed as the research object, using the modedecomposition response spectrum method and push-over method, discusses andanalyses the eccentric structure under earthquake action of the lateral torsional couplingeffect, obtains the following results through the research of this paper.First, I introduced several structural seismic design methods, studied the principleand calculation method of static analysis method, response spectrum method and thetime history analysis method, and pointed out the shortcomings of response spectrummethod and time history analysis method. Second, This paper solved the equation usingthe mode-superposition response spectrum method. Through the analysis of the contrastparameter formula of eccentric structure, I studied the effect of linear and non-linearcycle ratio, displacement ratio and eccentricity ratio B of single-layer and multi-layer onthe structure. Compared national norms among nations of the irregular plane structure(eccentric structure) of seismic design. Main factors that should be considered in theseismic design of the eccentric structure are pointed out through analysis. Based on it, Iput forward some suggestions on controlling the eccentric structure lateral torsionalcoupling effect. Finally, push-over analysis was performed on one six layer structure bySAP2000, Similarities and differences among capacity curves of base shear---topdisplacement and story drift of symmetrical and eccentric structures are found bycomparative analysis. I compared the structural response under three kinds of loadingmode of eccentric structure and tested the different influences that different loadingmodes have on push-over analysis.This paper is meaningful in the field of controlling the torsional effect in theseismic design of eccentric structure.
