With the rapid development of modernization and the social and economic lifecontinuously improves, people’s choice of travel mode becomes more and more personal andfacilitation. So the amount of vehicle ownership gradually increases, and the roads becomemore congested. Because the government invest relatively small in the renovation andexpansion of road, and crowded and jam cause a lot of problems, such as vehicle rear-endcollision, vehicle exhaust emissions of harmful surge and so on. It is imperative that establishtraffic flow model for China’s traffic situation and improve traffic control measures, which isgood for improving the level of use of existing roads, strengthening the safe operation ofvehicles. Because fast and good closure, freeway becomes preferred Travel Channel forlong-distance travel and cargo land transport. Increasingly high degree of freeway use bringsmany outstanding issues, so it becomes a necessary job that researching the basic parametersof the relationship between traffic flow for freeway especially under special road conditionsand traffic conditions, which is helpful for improving freeway safety and vehicle operationcapacity.Many experts have concentrated on traffic problems and proposed many models oftraffic flow, which is good for dull jams and improve freeway safety. Nonlinear characteristicsof Cellular Automata can simulate traffic flow with running discrete state of the vehicle, andthe advantage of parallel computing saves calculation time and improves the usefulness of thetool. Cellular Automata model parameter values can be set to the appropriate specific trafficconditions and road conditions, and it can better simulate the driving characteristics of thedriver due to personal behavior, such as random deceleration impact on traffic flow.In this dissertation, analyzing traffic flow characteristics of freeway in the condition ofovertaking lanes and car lanes set conditions, and traffic control because of rain and fog, snowand other adverse weather conditions, traffic accidents and partial lane under construction andmaintenance, and establish the appropriate Cellular Automaton model and obtain the basicparameters of the relationship of traffic flow via using computer numerical simulation. Finally,proposing suggestions for improvement under different road conditions for control measures.The main parts of the dissertation are as follows:Firstly, establishing Cellular Automaton model for two corresponds to setting overtakinglane or car lane. The model is based on NaSch and introduces the car following rules, andthen analysis traffic flow characteristics under different lane control via using computernumerical simulation. Finally, proposing suggestions for lane set based on the numericalresults.Secondly, research on freeway traffic flow is made,which is under traffic control because of bad weather such as rain, snow, fog and so on. And then Vehicle runningspeed limit is calculated under different weather conditions in different visibility, and theestablishment of a Cellular Automaton model, which introduces the car following rules.Analysis of the specific characteristics of traffic flow based on the simulation results whichvia using computer numerical simulation. Finally, suggestions are proposed for traffic controlbased on the numerical results.Thirdly, taking one way double lane under accidents on as the object of the research,establishing a Cellular Automaton model for implementation of lane control because theaccident. This model also introduces the car following rules. Analyzing accident bindingeffect on traffic flow, and then suggestions are proposed for traffic control because ofaccidents.Fourthly, for one way double lane road whose one lane is under construction andmaintenance, building cellular automaton model, introduce vehicles following rule to themodel, then, according to the result of numerical analysis, analyzing the features of thefreeway traffic flow on the partial lane, and give traffic control advice to the construction andmaintenance of the partial lane.Finally, conclusions are summarized and the prospect of future investigation of trafficflow is presented.
