According to the research achievements of PEC column at home and abroad showedit possessed excellent seismic performance, however, research on the seismic performanceof PEC column connections is foucs on the monotonic load, consequently, theinvestigation on the hysteretic behavior of connections under quasi-static cyclic lateralloading has the theoretical significance and the project application value. To investigate more about the seismic performance of new type PEC column-steelbeam joint, test specimens of PEC columns fabricated with thin-walled built-up sectionand steel beams interior joint with frictional energy-dissipation connection was selected assubjects, some design parameters as axial compression and flange edge type, PEC columnlayout were taken into account. Then the test of4connection specimens designed andfabricated by1:1.6scale were conducted under quasi-static cyclic lateral loading. Theexperimental phenomena was observed and the load-displacement and moment-rotationcurves were achieved, furthermore, the capacity, flexural stiffness, failure mode andforce-transfer mechanism of joint were analyzed. Meanwhile, the finite element analysissoftware ABAQUS was adopted to verify the the test specimens, Furthermore, somedesign parameters as axial compression and flange edge type, PEC column layout weretaken into account to finite element analyze to achieve the influence rule of designparameters. The research on specimens of PEC columns fabricated with thin-walled built-upsection and steel beams interior joint with frictional energy-dissipation connections willenrich the content of PEC column structural system and provide theoretical references forfurther study. |
