With the arrival era of high voltage and bulk power systems, the domestic power grid structure is complicated increasingly, the seal type of composite apparatus breakers are popularizing in the county power system greatly based upon the insulating medium of SF6. However, such a large scale of rapid popularization of high technology power grid is a “double‐edged sword”. The more advanced devices are, the higher technology content, and the more difficult maintenance; the high‐tech equipments may reversely impact the technology bottleneck of stable operation of power grid at any time.The high‐voltage breakers can control and protect power grid.It is also crucial for the safe and stable operation of power grid. Once there are faults or damages, it means difficult service, and long‐term stoppage, and tremendous risk of economic losses. The periodicity of prevention test overhaul mode in the power grid will result in some congenital defects, such as large blindness, wasting of service resources, new faults introduced, lowering the power distribution reliability and so on, which have been difficult to satisfy the power system’s requirements. With the application of lots of sensor technologies and intelligent terminals, depending on the advanced service new mode of on‐line monitoring and diagnostic techniques, it has predominant advantages by virtue of less time of power‐cut, less service fee, more rapid to control the failures and risks, which will become the hot service mode in the modern power system. To realize the condition service of SF6HVCB, the high effective on‐line status monitoring system shall be established firstly.This thesis primarily focuses on the Jiaozhou Power Supply Company, taking a pilot of110kV middle clouds transformer substation and SF6HVCB, which cooperates with device factory and control and protect system factory, establishes developing project items, take the practicability, economy, reliability and realizability into account, based on the investigation of the operational management and State of Maintenance development needs, it takes the existing breaker as the transforming main body, analyzes the breaker’s failures information, and compares the existing sensor principle, so as to demonstrates the optimal function module configuration and operational mechanism, aiming at the existing devices and systems, we customize the upgrade implementation plan of “SF6breaker in the on‐line monitoring and diagnosing systems’ failures”.This system initially realizes comprehensive analyses for the entire SF6HVCB with real time, detail and accurate on‐line status monitoring and history information, which can effectively and initially perfect the major network power distribution reliability, State of Maintenance efficiency and the use ratio of service resources of the pilot transformer substation of Jiaozhou Power Supply Company.In the meanwhile, it provides valuable solutions and good examples for the county power grid’s modernization construction and the following regular operation modes’ exploration as well.
