With the rapid development of power industry, Electric power systems demand forintelligent, digital and networked control has become higher and higher. More and moreapplications of power electronics technique, optoelectronic technology, informationtechnology and communication technology has been used in electric power systems.Especially the mix of optoelectronic technology and information technology has changedthe run mode of traditional electric power systems and promoted the development of relayprotection technology.This paper mainly work electronic transformer which is in the stage of practicalstudies. And electronic transformer properties are analyzed in this paper. And there arealso studies of a transmission mode based on new type electronic transformer electricenergy information. It is used in relay protection device. This paper mainly expounds thebasic concept of transformer substation automation technology, studies the technicalbackground of digital transformer substation and analyzes the deep-seated technicalsupport to digital transformer substation. First, it settles a basis for designing and analyzingthe technology feature of digital transformer substation combined with project. Secondly,this paper present the connotation of digital transformer substation combined with a220kV digital transformer substation. And it studies the general features of digital transformersubstation’s architecture and various kind network solutions. The main technicalcharacteristics of digital transformer substation and the main effects on digital transformersubstation’s secondary system from using of digital transformer substation technology areanalyzed. Thirdly, different application modes during digital transformer substationtechnology’s developing are studied in this paper. And the application state of digitaltransformer substation is also expounded. Through the comparison between digitaltransformer substation technology and normal transformer substation technology, thecomparison among several present digital transformer substation technical schemearchitectures about reliability and investment difference, a summary is proposed to confirmdigital transformer substation’s configuration. And it lays groundwork for intelligentsubstation designing.
