Research And Practice On FCB Function Of YIQI Power Plant

With the development of power industry, the structure of power grid develops intolarge and modern gradually. In some areas, there is possibility which occurred trippingaccident. Once the power grid occurs the accident, the power units will separate for thepower grid, at the same time, the unit will lose the start-standby transformer supply. It isa risk process when the unit stops and it is very hard to start again.Fast Cut Back (FCB) means that when the power grid accident occurs, unit load islimited and the unit Fast Cut Back, just keeping Island Operation.The power unit keeps working under the power grid occurred the fault as long as ithas function of FCB. If the power grid fault is excluded in short time, the unit will berecovered quickly, avoiding stopping. Thus the startup costs are saved and the life of thepower unit is prolonged. If the power grid fault is not excluded successfully in the shorttime, the unit could stop under the operating condition in order to reduce the impactbecause of the drastic changes in operating parameters. At the same time, if occurringlarge scale power grid fault, the unit with FCB can start as the Black Start power supplyto support the rapid recovery. FCB function is very important to guarantee the power gridsafely, save energy and reduce consumption.Relying on YIQI power plant, the article comprehensively researches keytechnology of FCB by WBS and PDCA, which include bypass system, deaerator volume,main reheat steam system, the steam source switchover for steam-drive feed pump. Last,make economic analysis for initial investment cost and operation cost.The paper provides some experience for the same type unit achieving FCB function,and the method of application on WBS and PDCA during the thermal power unitdebugging process.
