Wind power technology is the most mature new generation technology, and it has thehighest commercial value. In recent years, wind power technology is developping rapidly,and in the future it will also develop at a high level. As green energy, wind power canbring great environmental benefits. However, due to its volatility and randomness, thecontrollability and schedulability of wind power is worse than the ordinary powergeneration. It will cause great effect on the voltage stability when the large scale windpower connected to the power grid. And it may restricting the further development ofwind power. With the rapid development of wind power, the research of the its effcet onpower grid is imperative. This paper mainly discusses the LVRT technology of thedirect-drive type permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) wind power system.In this paper, direct-drive permanent magnet wind turbine as an example to studywind farms across the low-voltage characteristics and the methods and principles, thepaper simulation software for the popular choice of simulation softwareMATLAB/Simulink. According to actual needs, this paper is to establish a network sideinverter universal mathematical model built on the basis of the simulation model.Simulation results show that, in order to achieve effective control of the wind turbineoutput power, relying solely on the network side of the inverter control is not enough, onthe basis of a comprehensive analysis of solutions on the final selection of theintermediate links crowbar protection circuit protection solution.Simulation results show that the middle crowbar protection circuit can effectivelyassist the network side inverter improve the low voltage direct-drive permanent magnetwind turbine through capability. Similarly, the simulation results show the effectivenessof the proposed control method and the correctness of the theory of the body.Taking into account all of the power system equipment unprotected determined notto run, the paper meet to consider the protection of the actual configuration of the windturbine in operation, describes the importance of protecting the low voltage ride together,and details related with strategy.
