Research On Wang Xiangrong’s Landscape Design

The article centers on landscape design concept and design methods of Wang Xiangrong by reading literature, analyzing landscape architecture for field trip. The research is as follows:Firstly, the source of design thought is summed up through understanding the social background of Wang Xiangrong’s life (political, economic, art, landscape, etc), his study experience and working experience. Secondly, through reading a series of the work, speeches, reports and books on Wang Xiangrong, the main landscape design idea of Wang Xiangrong has been summarized and the theory of change has further studied.The ideas of landscape design on Wang Xiangrong is elaborated in detail from the natural, geographical, cultural and other aspects. Thirdly, by the chronological record, his works at different time points are studied and summarizing the features of landscape design. Then, the typical design work of three different scale is studied deeply to help landscape practice in our country.The researches show that landscape design on Wang Xiangrong is the design of the nature, respecting site and the solution to the problem of the specific site. Wang Xiangrong pursuits the search of cultural connotation of landscape in the field, building rich poetic space in a simple way, creating ecological landscape of Chinese characteristics on the basis of ecological theory of landscape.
