The hyperbolic arch bridge spreads rapidly across China because of the merits in the structure, such as novelty, light, saving material, convenient for construction. It threats to security operations,as there have been varying degrees of damage of most hyperbolic arch bridges in service with he increasing traffic. It is impossible to replace the olds in a short time, which will continue to be used due to the limited financial resources for some time.It is difficult to avoid the bridge repair and reinforcement with great economic benefit.Therefore, study on the technology transformation of double curved arch bridge is particularly important..This article is aming to carry on finite element analysis for the main arch reinforcement methods of arch bridge based on the old Cangjiang bridge. The main research and achievements are as follows:1、By comparing with the state under contrast bare arch model, spatial simulation model and the simulation model of disease conditions of Midas/Civil model, it can be obtained that: The double curved arch bridge has great latent capacity for the calculation of the conservative approach, which make dsign load level meet" road-Ⅱ class".2、The effect of Section enlargement on the lower edge is better than that of on the the upper edge under the same condition. The safety degree of cross section is improved with reinforcement thickness increasing.It is the guarantee of strengthening effect to the reasonable thickness,as the original structure is damaged before the new concrete play a role in it,when a certain thickness is reached.3、The reinforcement effect is more obvious with the increasing of the thickness of the steel plate by analysis of strengthening technology of finite element model. Steel reinforcement effect on the cross section of the more obvious compared with other sections when the whole arch is reinforced.There is a major impact on stiffness and stress as well as little influence on the axial force and bending moment by Steel box arch method.4、Steel and carbon fiber reinforced method is equal to the arch rib into cross-section of the arch., which make the advantages of steel plates and carbon fiber to play. Reinforcement effect is more obvious along with the increase of thickness of steel plate and carbon fiber.But there is little effect on reinforcement with the change of lateral plate thickness.
