Abstract:As an important drilling machine, hydraulic drilling rig are widely used, in the mining, construction, utilities and transportation fields, etc. With the widespread application of hydromechatronics, hydraulic drilling rig is being developed towards intelligent and humanity.As important parts of hydraulic drilling rig, the feeding and rotating systems’adoptive match, according to different and complex drilling conditions, is prerequisite for the rig’s good work. In this paper, the scheme is proposed that the feeding pressure should be adaptive to rotation pressure and that the rotation speed should be adaptive to rock properties, during rig’s drilling. Simulation and experiment are used to verify the proposed methods.Firstly, the domestic and foreign development of hydraulic drilling rig are reviewed, the control mode of feeding and rotation systems is analyzed; Based on the analysis of drilling mechanism and conditions, the control scheme is put forward, that the feeding pressure and rotation speed should be adjusted, according to the geological conditions of drill holes. And based on high speed on-off valve, the digital electro-hydraulic proportional control system of feeding and rotating is constructed.Secondly, the static and dynamic characteristics of the high speed on-off valve and its impact on the system are analyzed. Then the feeding and rotating systems’model is established and simulated by AMESim. The simulation results show that the feeding and rotating systems have good performance on the regulation of pressure and flow rate. Then, the fuzzy controller of the feeding and rotating systems is designed, and the Matlab/AMESim co-simulation model of the feeding and rotating system is established. The simulation results show that the improved feeding and rotating systems can regulate feeding pressure and rotating speed according to working conditions, which verifies the feasibility of joint control program.Finally, the experimental platform is built, to verify the pressure and flow regulation characteristics of the system. Then drilling experiments based on the proposed control program are conducted. The experiments results show that the improved feeding and rotating system has adaptive capacity of regulating the feeding pressure and rotating speed according to working conditions, which validates the theoretical analysis and the simulation model.
