Strategies Of General New District Design From The Perspective Of Ecology

Overall urban design is to construct the urban space in an orderly way and to distributeresources in a reasonable way. Its core role is to provide a space form and the overallframework with a universal, sustainable and livable mode for city development. This study,taking new urban district as research object, mainly focuses on natural ecological environmentdestruction and similarity of new cities during current construction of new urban cities.Referring to related theory and practice at home and abroad,this paper agrees that urban designshould be guided by the concept of ecological urban design in order to resolve the contradiction between the urbanization,the natural resources and ecological environment. After researchingthe development history of urban design and its function, this study tentatively puts forward that ecological environment should be prior to overall urban design, which means general urbandesign should be carried out taking natural environment, spatial structure, land function, intention and landscape.Design buleprints can be made on that baisis. At the same time, through theperipheral natural environment evaluation, the internal ecological system organization,ecological network system construction, the overall urban form shaping and ecologicallylivable landscape building shall be all taken into account when performing urban designs. Thusthe habitability of urban space can be increased,the quality of urban environment can beimproved, human activities can be satisfied and sustainable urban development can bepromoted.Based on which, the purpose of making natural system, city and humans liveharmoniously together can be achieved.Based on the above statement, a set of practical and available overall urban designmethods and strategies with an ecological perspective are abstracted in this study, which hascertain practical significance and application value on current China’s new propulsion ofurbanization, especially in the construction of beautiful China. Finally, this study further testsoperationalality and practicability of its research findings in the example of the Northern FujianNew District.
