With the development of China economy, power supply reliability requirementof distribution grid (DG) from power clients is gradually increased. According tothe strong and smart grid vision presented by the State Grid Corporation, DGdirectly contact with power clients. Therefore, ensuring power supply reliabilityand power quality of DG, and improving its operation efficiency and service qualityis very important, which is also the significant task for strong and smart gridconstruction. Moreover, fault location and isolation, power restoration are the mostimportant works for DG automation. In this context, fault location, networkreconstruction and fault isolation strategies belonging to DG restoration areillustrated.Firstly, according to DG fault characteristics, a fast fault recovery model containingconstraints is established. Then, the issues about DG restoration after disturbance, DGtopology search and power flow analysis are discussed. Besides, a DG fault location algorithmupon improved matrix and a DG reconstruction algorithm based on Agent and particle swarmoptimization(PSO)are respectively proposed according to the features of DG. Furthermore, thefast fault restoration schemes for35kV and10kV grid based on presented fault recovery model,fault location algorithm and DG reconstruction algorithm are introduced. Finally, thedistribution grid of Nanchang city is utilized to verify the effectiveness of proposedalgorithms.
